A unique and magical wedding venue, perfect for an intimate or large celebration.

With unprecedented photo opportunities and the chance to exchange your vows in an ancient and enchanting location, this atmospheric venue is sure to impress. The award-winning Roman Baths and Pump Room is undoubtedly one of the most exceptional wedding venues in the country. Whether you would like a small, intimate wedding for two with minimal fuss, or a much larger ceremony for up to 300 guests, a Sunrise or Sunset Wedding will provide a truly romantic start to your married life.

You can find out more about this beautiful venue and meet the team at our next Roman Baths wedding open evening.

Sunrise ceremonies

Sunrise ceremonies take place around the torch-lit and steaming waters of the Great Bath at 8.30am and can be followed by a delicious breakfast in the Pump Room Restaurant where you can enjoy music from the Pump Room Trio.  This is the perfect choice for an elopement wedding if you prefer no guests and no fuss and we would be delighted to provide witnesses for your ceremony.  Numbers for breakfast are limited to a maximum of 40 guests on a Saturday and 60 guests Sunday to Friday.  Alternatively you can enjoy a lovely breakfast at the Roman Baths Kitchen across Abbey Churchyard or simply celebrate elsewhere.

Sunset ceremonies

Sunset ceremonies at the Roman Baths take place at 7:30pm at the water's edge and can be followed with drinks and photos around the Roman monument. Celebrations continue upstairs with dinner on the Terrace for up to 80 guests, followed by dancing in the magnificent Reception Hall with it's soaring vaulted ceiling.  For larger numbers of up to 160 guests, you could choose a dinner dance in the spectacular Pump Room with it's glittering chandelier and historic spa fountain.  There is also the option to book the entire venue on an exclusive hire basis.
