For the smaller wedding with 2 to 40 people, choose one of our atmospheric and intimate wedding venues.
Roman Baths (Roman Baths & Pump Room)
2+ guests
8.30am Sunrise ceremony
7.30pm Sunset ceremony and reception (available September to mid-June)
From £1,155 inc VAT
The Roman Baths is an especially atmospheric and romantic venue for an intimate wedding ceremony. Although this ancient monument can accommodate up to 200 guests for a wedding, it is arguably better suited to smaller groups. If it is just the two of you, we will glady provide witnesses for your ceremony.
Sunrise wedding ceremonies are available year round at 8.30am. If you want an other-worldly experience, choose to marry in winter, when the waters are especially steamy and the sun has only just risen. You have the option to follow your ceremony with breakfast in the Pump Room restaurant or at the Roman Baths Kitchen across the Abbey Churchyard.
Sunset ceremonies take place from 7.30pm and are followed with celebratory drinks around the Great Bath and a reception on the enclosed Terrace overlooking the heated baths.
We have partnered with the boutique Hotel Indigo to create an elopement wedding package with discounted accommodation rates.
Terrace (Roman Baths & Pump Room)
Up to 80 guests
Available from 7pm (September to mid-June)
From £1,400 inc VAT
The Terrace is a lovely setting for an evening wedding celebration. Many couples choose to have pre-dinner drinks or exchange their vows beside the Great Bath before moving up to the Terrace for a dinner party. Although up to 80 guests may be accommodated, it is often chosen for much smaller gatherings - with its views over the Great Bath and its subtle lighting, it is a warm and inviting place to dine. The Terrace may be used in conjunction with the Reception Hall for larger events.
Kingston Room & Drawing Room (Roman Baths & Pump Room)
Up to 40 guests
Available from 8am to 6pm
From £415 inc VAT
These elegant and adjacent period rooms are a lovely option for wedding ceremonies during museum opening hours. Following a ceremony the wedding couple and attendants may have photos beside the Great Bath and a wedding breakfast or afternoon tea in either the Kingston Room or Drawing Room.
Upper Gallery (Victoria Art Gallery)
Up to 100 guests
Available from 6pm - 10pm
From £500 inc VAT
The Upper Gallery was purpose built to display art, with natural light pooling in from the ceiling, illuminating works by artists such as Gainsborough, Klee, Nash and Sickert. For a small ceremony, it is a quirky choice, perfect for art lovers.
