Roman Baths and Pump Room

Situated at the centre of the World Heritage Site and dating back nearly 2000 years, the iconic Roman Baths consists of the remarkably preserved remains of one of the greatest religious spas of the ancient world. The Great Bath was once covered by a vast roof, and, fed by Britain's only naturally hot spring, it was the centrepiece of the public bathing complex. It was also an area for socialising and relaxing, a tradition which continues to this day. The Roman Baths site offers a unique and atmospheric setting for a memorable event.  It is extremely popular for business events, drinks receptions, weddings and private parties and can also accommodate concerts and fashion shows. At night, with its steaming waters and flickering torches, this is a stunning venue for a drinks reception which is sure to wow your guests. Following drinks beside the Great Bath, guests may choose to dine or party in the adjoining rooms; the Georgian Pump Room is an exceptional space ideally suited to parties and dinners and the atmospheric Terrace, overlooking the Great Bath is a more intimate option. Sunrise and Sunset weddings at the Baths are also a very popular choice for either intimate or larger ceremonies. The Roman Baths and Pump Room has recently been voted the UK's Top Historic Wedding Venue for 2017

This historic venue also houses smaller rooms that can be hired during the day for meetings, lunches or networking events. For a larger conference space, the Assembly Rooms is a perfect choice.
